Marine Offshore Management (MOM) is a specialist company providing bespoke repair and fabrication solutions to the offshore and marine industries. We are leaders in the use of Sandwich Plate Repair Systems (SPS), a unique repair method combining a polymer composite with conventional steel to deliver durable, innovative repair solutions.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Welding and Fabrication Manager

to lead our fabrication operations and contribute to our global projects. This senior leadership role requires an individual with extensive expertise in marine and offshore welding and fabrication, particularly in ship repair techniques and offshore construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the fabrication workshop, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Provide technical leadership in welding and fabrication, including advanced repair techniques.

Oversee and contribute to the tendering process, including technical input, costing, and client presentations.

Liaise with classification societies to ensure compliance and approval of repair methods.

Support global offshore and ship repair projects, including site visits and project oversight.

Mentor and develop workshop and project teams.

Progress reporting to Senior Management/ Stakeholders.

Assess team skill gaps and identify training and development needs.

Requirements:

15-20+ years' experience in welding and fabrication, with a focus on ship repair and offshore construction, Mechanical fitting/Electrical experience would be an advantage

Strong knowledge of offshore and marine environments.

Experience in dealing with classification societies (e.g., Lloyd's Register, DNV, ABS, etc.).

Proven ability to manage teams and oversee workshop operations.

Willingness to travel globally as required.

Strong commercial awareness and experience in tendering processes.

Proficient in Microsoft Suite

Desirable:

Experience working with composite/steel repair methods.

Previous involvement in innovative repair technologies such as SPS.

Current Offshore survival and medical certificates

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 50,000.00-70,000.00 per year
