About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and experienced Workshop Technician to take a leading role in a busy bespoke manufacturing workshop in Finchampstead. The position involves hands-on fabrication, assembly, and finishing of custom joinery and solid surface products, working with materials such as
Hi-MACS, MDF, plywood, laminate, and hardwoods.
Occasional CNC use may be required, but this is primarily a practical, workshop-based role with scope to lead and coordinate production.Key Responsibilities
Lead and support day-to-day workshop operations Fabricate, assemble, and finish bespoke joinery and solid surface components Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Work confidently with Hi-MACS, MDF, plywood, laminate, and hardwood materials Operate a forklift to move materials and products safely Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace
Requirements
Proven experience in workshop, joinery, or solid surface fabrication Comfortable taking the lead or mentoring others Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail Forklift licence or experience (training can be provided) Full UK driving licence preferred
