As part of this next chapter, we are expanding our software engineering team and looking for a

Senior Software Developer

who is eager to play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our platform while mentoring others and contributing to best practice across the function.

The Role





As a Senior Software Developer, you will:


Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure applications using our core technology stack (PHP, Laravel, Vue.js). Contribute to architectural decision-making and help shape the long-term technical roadmap. Provide day-to-day mentoring and support to mid-level and junior engineers, including code reviews and technical guidance. Act as a technical interface across our organisation, working closely with Operations, Customer Services, Systems, and Commercial teams. Support deployments, release processes, troubleshooting and debugging across our environments. Champion best practice across version control, documentation, testing, and deployment. Drive continuous improvement and the adoption of modern development tools and methodologies. This post is ideal for someone ready to take on greater leadership responsibility and grow into a Lead Developer role, acting as deputy to the Principal Engineer when required.



What We're Looking For




Significant hands-on software development experience. Strong proficiency in PHP, Laravel and Vue.js, with experience building enterprise-grade applications. Experience working in a SaaS scale-up or similarly fast-paced environment. Confidence contributing to architectural decisions and guiding others technically. Strong understanding of RESTful API design, database management, Git, and cloud-based solutions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Someone proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and improvement. Experience in e-commerce, warehousing, or logistics technology is beneficial but not essential. Based in the United Kingdom with the ability to be on-site in Daventry, UK no less than once a month to be part of our collaborative team events.
