a long-established local Abergavenny based care provider supporting young adults who have a learning disability in a residential setting.

We are situated on the outskirts of Llanellen, Abergavenny overlooking the Brecon Beacons. We have 2 homes on this particular site and support 6 individuals, 3 in each home. We have beautiful large gardens and during the summer we make full use of what we have, enjoying BBQ's, bouncy castles, music and more!

We encourage meaningful and creative in-house activities and access many community-based activities every day. Our aim is to help each of those in our care achieve greater independence in as many ways as possible, to achieve their personal goals, to live the best possible life and to have fun along the way!

Under the guidance of the Manager/Deputy Manager, Senior/Team Leader Care Workers will lead a team of up to 5 support workers in each home who meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual developmental needs of the service users.

Through the provision and oversight of daily routines, activities and social interaction, the Senior will maintain and develop a supportive and stimulating environment for the service users.

This position is a pivotal role and will see the successful applicant lead the smooth running of the homes within the legal requirements. As the role also functions as a Primary Key Worker, a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel would be an advantage.

The role should ideally have a minimum 2 year's experience in a similar setting, and have or be willing to work towards a Health & Social Care Level 3 Diploma and the following fundamental core values:

Registration with Social Care Wales is an essential requirement in all care settings in Wales. If you are not registered we can support you with this. We support all our employees to gain accredited health & social care qualifications.
