Role Overview



As SEO Content Executive, you will be responsible for producing, optimising and maintaining high-quality SEO content across our client websites and ongoing SEO retainers.

This role sits at the heart of SEO delivery, working closely with the SEO Manager, technical SEO specialists, designers and developers to ensure content is well structured, search-intent led, and aligned with each client's brand and commercial goals.

You will contribute to both ongoing SEO retainers and new website builds, supporting discovery, benchmarking and content creation during website projects, and helping drive performance with post-launch content optimisation and improvements.

Key Responsibilities



SEO Content Creation & Optimisation



Write and optimise SEO-led content including blogs, landing pages, service pages, product pages and FAQs Carry out keyword research to support content planning, optimisation and SEO strategy Map keywords and search intent to the correct page types and content formats Create and maintain SEO content and blog plans, translating keyword research into clear, actionable content ideas Optimise on-page elements including headings, metadata, internal linking and content structure Update and improve existing content based on performance data, search intent and SEO priorities

SEO audits, reporting & performance insight



Complete content audits, contribute to identifying gaps, opportunities and priorities for content-led SEO improvements Analyse SEO performance using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs Surface insights around content performance, rankings and visibility to support reporting and decision-making Assist with preparation of SEO reports, focusing on clarity, insight and actionable outcomes. Assist with implementing and reviewing technical SEO elements

Tools, AI & efficient delivery



Use SEO and content tools to support content optimisation and performance analysis Use AI tools to support SEO workflows, apply human judgement and QA to all AI-assisted outputs to ensure content remains accurate, high quality and on-brand Follow agreed processes and guidelines for AI usage to ensure consistency and best practice Stay aware of SEO, content and AI developments and share relevant updates with the SEO team

Website Builds & Content



Support SEO content input during website discovery and planning phases Carry out content audits of existing sites to inform website builds and SEO strategy Benchmark competitor content to identify gaps, opportunities and best practice Review and shape content structures for new websites to ensure strong SEO foundations Write or support the writing of website content for new builds, ensuring SEO best practice is built in from launch Work closely with designers and developers to ensure content is implemented correctly Ensure all content is accurate, well-written, proofread and aligned to agreed tone of voice and brand guidelines

Skills & attributes



Strong written English with excellent attention to detail Confident writing and optimising content for a range of audiences and industries Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals including search intent, on-page optimisation and internal linking Comfortable carrying out keyword research and applying insights to content plans Organised and able to manage multiple tasks, clients and deadlines effectively Curious mindset with an interest in SEO, content and AI-supported workflows Comfortable working collaboratively within a wider SEO and website delivery team
