SEO Manager

Add People has an established SEO team that delivers world-class content and on-page SEO for a client base made up exclusively of small and medium-sized businesses.

We're seeking someone to spearhead innovation and motivate the team through a period of rapid industry changes. This role would suit someone with management experience or a Senior Exec ready to take the next step in their career.

You will have at least 3 years hands-on experience in SEO, preferably agency-side, creating high-performing campaigns, developing processes and documentation, and being a supporting voice that drives your team to success.

Duties and responsibilities:

? Setting a standard in high-quality delivery in your work for the rest of the

team to follow

? Managing a team of content execs from juniors to seniors and strategists, including running regular 1-2-1's and setting targets

? Supporting the Head of SEO to achieve the team's goals

? Monitoring team performance from a results perspective and an admin perspective

? Using data to identify team weaknesses and offering training & guidance to improve

delivery

? Advising team members on strategy and ensuring client success

? Responsible for identifying, trialling and rolling out new processes with the team

? Being an advocate for the future of SEO internally and externally

? Identifying process and knowledge gaps and using initiative to fill them

Desired skills and behaviours:

Management:

? Examples of supporting junior members of staff with their development

? Running training sessions and monitoring their effectiveness

? The ability to devise and communicate strategies that exceed client expectations

? Experience onboarding new members of the team, setting expectations, and running

probation meetings

? A passion for SEO and the ability to share industry news with your team

? Self-motivated and eager to go the extra mile when needed

Client work:

? 3 years + of experience, preferably in an agency setting

? Experience with Content & SEO tools - Ahrefs, Clearscope, Frase, Keyword Insights etc

? Experience communicating the value of SEO work to clients and other stakeholders

? Google Suite, Google Drive, Search Console, Analytics experience

Primary KPI's:

Effective management of delivery for all clients, ensuring all work is delivered on time and all execs deliver their core standards.

Regular communication with your team, through structured 121s and appraisals, but also close day-to-day contact, ensuring they are developing effectively and being rewarded, supported, and managed where appropriate.
