SEO Specialist



Are you passionate about all things SEO? UK-based marketing agency, Altitude Marketing, is looking for a detail-oriented and driven SEO Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in supporting our SEO Manager in executing data-driven strategies that enhance search visibility, drive targeted traffic, and improve client performance.

Role Overview



As an SEO Specialist, you'll not only execute data-driven strategies but also take ownership of SEO delivery and client relationships across a number of smaller accounts. Working closely with the SEO Manager, you'll lead on day-to-day communication, performance updates, and campaign recommendations to drive results and maintain excellent client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities



Manage SEO activity and client communication across a portfolio of accounts, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard. Present SEO performance reports, insights, and recommendations to clients. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, supported by the SEO Manager where needed. Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify opportunities for content and site optimisation. Develop and optimise on-page SEO elements, including meta titles, descriptions, headers, and internal linking. Create detailed content briefs to ensure high-quality, SEO-friendly content aligned with search intent. Support in technical SEO audits and provide recommendations for improving site structure, performance, and crawlability. Monitor and analyse website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms. Conduct competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with the wider marketing team (Paid Media, PR, Social, Creative) to integrate SEO best practices into campaigns. Stay up to date with industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and emerging SEO techniques. Provide regular performance reports, showcasing key insights and recommendations. Use AI-powered SEO tools (e.g., SurferSEO, Clearscope, ChatGPT, Jasper, Frase, etc.) to accelerate research, optimise content, and generate data-backed insights.

Essential Skills



3+ years of hands-on SEO experience. Proven expertise in keyword research and on-page SEO optimisation. Experience working with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and AI tools such as ChatGPT. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights. Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and tasks. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired Skills



Experience with website Content Management Systems (WordPress, Webflow, etc.). Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ability to write SEO-friendly, high-quality web copy. Certification in SEO or digital marketing.
