Job Overview

We are looking for an SEO specialist with Shopify to help drive our online presence & google rankings ( www.roofboxed.com)

This role is for up to 50 hours per month ( fully flex) 50% on site 50% at home available from month 2.

We are open Mon to Thurs 9 till 3, Fri & Sat 8 till 6 .

This is a self employed / freelance position.

Proven experince and case studies expected on application.

Pay range 20 to 25 per hour

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify opportunities for optimisation across various platforms. Optimise website content, including metadata, headings, and internal linking structures, to improve search engine visibility. Manage and update content within WordPress and other content management systems, ensuring consistency and adherence to SEO standards. Implement technical SEO improvements such as enhancing site speed, mobile responsiveness, and structured data markup. Monitor website performance using Google Search Console and analyse data via Google Analytics to assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies. Utilise Google Tag Manager to manage tracking tags and optimise user engagement metrics. Collaborate with social media management teams to align content strategies and maximise reach across platforms. Stay informed on the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to continually refine optimisation techniques. Generate regular reports on website performance metrics and provide actionable insights for ongoing improvement.

Experience

Proven experience in SEO optimisation within a digital marketing environment. Strong familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and their application in SEO contexts. Hands-on experience with WordPress or similar content management systems. Proficiency in using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager for tracking and analysis purposes. Knowledge of metadata optimisation and technical SEO best practices. Experience in social media management tools is desirable but not essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines.
