At Red Balloon, we're committed to solving our clients' challenges using design, technology and communication that puts people first. We're looking for a Website Marketing Manager to lead content-led marketing strategies across both our own work and our clients' websites - spanning organic growth, site performance, and paid campaign delivery.
Technology and behaviours change fast, but the principles behind what makes people click, scroll, and buy remain constant. There's no one-size-fits-all approach, but an understanding of what makes people tick and a commitment to follow through - is what drives great work. We're after a hands-on marketing lead who gets this, and who's ready to bring that thinking into everything we build and grow.
Key Responsibilities
SEO and Organic Growth
Own the Organic growth across technical, on-page, and content dimensions
Run website audits and optimisations across client and internal websites (mostly WordPress)
Use tools like SEMrush, GSC, GA4 to benchmark and track organic performance
Deliver keyword research that aligns UX, intent, and content goals
Lead link-building and off-page strategy where needed
Content & Campaign Execution
Shape and execute content calendars (blogs, page copy, social posts)
Collaborate with designers and devs to brief, review and ship content
Benchmark and report on competitors, formats, and engagement patterns
Web Content Admin & UX
Support ongoing content admin on client WordPress sites
Use your understanding of layout, UX, and messaging to optimise key pages
Contribute to improving how our websites drive performance (CVR, bounce rate, dwell time etc.)
Strategy, Process & Collaboration

Set clear expectations, translate complex metrics into actionable insight, and build trusted relationships based on transparency and results.

Optional: Paid Media Experience (Nice to Have)
While not core to the role, experience with PPC (especially Google Ads) would be a bonus. This includes running audits, managing ad groups, and optimising landing pages for paid campaigns. We deliver paid campaigns for clients, and your insight here could help us scale that offering over time.
Audit PPC accounts to improve spend efficiency (CPC, CPA, ROAS, conversions)
Optimise and expand keyword lists based on intent and performance data
Restructure or refine ad groups to boost quality scores and relevance
Review and suggest landing page improvements for conversion, speed, and UX
