Known for giving a voice to underserved communities and fighting for the justice they deserve, our Serious Injury team is expanding. We need a highly capable litigator to steer
intermediate track and mid-value
EL, PL, RTA and medical-negligence files from day one.
What the job looks like
Run and grow your own caseload (EL/PL/RTA and selected Clin Neg), from instruction to settlement/trial.
Assess liability and quantum: review medical evidence, obtain reports, research and apply current case law.
Maximise personal billings and contribute to department forecasts while maintaining first-class client care.
Meet clients (in person and virtually) to explain strategy, manage expectations and build lasting trust.
Lead conferences with experts (medical specialists, case managers, care experts, accountants and counsel).
Analyse evidence to resolve disputes on liability, causation and quantum.
Draft pleadings, witness statements, Part 35 questions, and detailed schedules/counter-schedules.
Secure interim payments promptly and arrange appropriate rehabilitation.
Negotiate robustly with insurers/defendant firms, minimising write-offs and disbursement issues.
Use
Proclaim
in line with firm policy; coach junior staff on best practice.
Apply strong commercial awareness to drive profitability and spot value-add opportunities.
Collaborate with Marketing on case stories and client-friendly insights; support thought leadership on LinkedIn.
Stay current on CPR updates, costs reforms and emerging medico-legal issues.
