Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and guest relations. Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to during service and food preparation Assist with setting up tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness of the dining area Handle guest queries politely and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable Familiarity with serving techniques and food safety regulations Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not essential Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments confidently Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and sales performance
