Duties

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items. Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, adhering to food safety standards. Assist with food preparation when necessary, ensuring high culinary standards are maintained. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen spaces throughout service. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, striving to resolve any issues swiftly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain smooth service flow. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt attention.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong guest services skills with a passion for helping others. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous. Familiarity with culinary terms and food preparation techniques is beneficial. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A friendly disposition with the ability to work well within a team while also being self-motivated.
