The Role

We are looking for an experienced, passionate

Waiter/Server

to join our dynamic front-of-house team. You'll be the face of Bala Baya - delivering exceptional service with personality, confidence, and care. In this role, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing efficiency with a genuine enthusiasm for great food, drink, and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver warm, attentive, and professional service to all guests. Manage multiple tables and priorities efficiently in a high-volume setting. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of our menu, including ingredients, flavours, and preparation methods. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items with confidence. Work collaboratively with the bar, kitchen, and host teams to ensure smooth service. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation in your section. Handle guest feedback with professionalism and positivity.

About You

Minimum

3 years' experience

as a waiter/server in a

busy, fast-paced restaurant

. A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English

- both spoken and written - with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with guests and colleagues. Ability to stay calm and upbeat under pressure. Reliable, professional, and a true team player. Flexible with hours, including evenings and weekends. Knowledge of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine is a plus.
