Job Description

We are seeking a skilled, vibrant and enthusiastic Bartender/Server with a sparkling personality to join our vibrant team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service in a relaxed environment. Technology acumen is essential.

As a Server/Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting drinks, engaging with customers, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment.

You must be flexible as at times, you will be called upon to help out with other duties around the hotel, such as checking someone in, showing them to the room, or even running to the store when we are short of supplies.

Your ability to manage time effectively and maintain high standards of food safety will be crucial to your success in this role.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Engage with customers, taking orders and providing recommendations to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies, restocking as necessary. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, using basic maths skills for processing payments. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods. Assist in training new staff members on bartending techniques and customer service best practices.

Requirements

Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. A friendly disposition with a willingness to help others in a team-oriented environment.
This is a new small quaint restaurant/bar designed to serve the local community.
