Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with guests to provide excellent service, taking orders and offering recommendations to enhance their experience. Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly rapport with customers. Assist in food preparation as required, ensuring all food items meet quality standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills for processing payments. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Manage time efficiently to balance multiple tasks while maintaining high service standards.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred, particularly in bar service or similar roles. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic mathematical skills for handling cash and processing transactions are necessary.
