Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with guests to provide excellent service, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Upsell drinks and food items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic math skills for processing payments. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages. Manage time effectively during busy periods to maintain service efficiency.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with hospitality practices. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential. Experience in culinary or kitchen roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions effectively. Time management skills to prioritise tasks during peak hours. A friendly demeanour with a passion for providing excellent guest services.
