Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain a clean and organised bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Engage with customers, providing excellent service while taking orders and answering questions about the menu. Monitor customer behaviour and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with legal regulations. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change. Assist with food service as needed, ensuring food safety standards are adhered to at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain efficient workflow. Keep track of inventory levels, restocking supplies as necessary.

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Proficient in serving techniques and beverage preparation methods. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs effectively. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, particularly in a bar or similar environment. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
