Duties

Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take food and drink orders accurately, relaying them to the kitchen staff promptly. Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, adhering to food safety standards. Upsell menu items where appropriate to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Ensure tables are clean, well-organised, and set up for new guests after each service. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, aiming for complete satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of meals. Assist in food preparation when necessary, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen area. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest questions effectively.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services and relationship building. Experience in culinary or kitchen roles is advantageous but not mandatory. A positive attitude with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
