Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards. Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest experience. Ensure tables are clean, set up correctly, and cleared promptly after use. Handle guest queries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Assist with basic food safety procedures and adhere to hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods through effective time management.

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques. Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is beneficial. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour. Basic maths skills for handling bills and processing payments accurately. Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Upselling techniques to promote specials and increase sales opportunities. Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and guests seamlessly.
