Service Account Manager - Electronic Security - Southeast England
We are seeking an experienced Service Account Manager (SAM) to join a leading electronic security company, delivering both high-end enterprise-level security systems and standard commercial security solutions. This role is a key client-facing position, acting as the primary link between the business and its clients after the initial sale.
You will be responsible for managing service delivery, nurturing long-term client relationships and driving account growth through renewals and upselling opportunities across a diverse portfolio of security clients.
The role is based in the Southeast, reporting directly into senior management. This is a hybrid position, working from home approximately 50% of the time, with the remaining time split between client site visits and office attendance.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned electronic security client accounts
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients operating enterprise-level and standard security systems
Develop a deep understanding of client environments, security requirements, and service expectations
Manage service delivery by coordinating internal teams (engineering, technical support, project, and service teams)
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and service quality across complex security solutions
Proactively identify opportunities for account growth, including renewals, upselling, and cross-selling of service contracts and system enhancements
Develop and maintain strategic account plans focused on retention and expansion
Handle client issues and escalations efficiently, acting as the client's internal advocate
Conduct regular client reviews, service meetings, and site visits
Provide clear reporting, forecasting, and performance updates to senior management
Experience
Proven experience in a Service Account Manager / Account Manager / Client Services role
Previous experience within electronic security, fire & security, or a related technical services environment
Strong understanding of enterprise-level security systems alongside standard commercial solutions
Demonstrable experience managing service contracts and growing client accounts post-sale
Ability to coordinate technical and engineering teams to deliver complex service requirements
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and enterprise clients
Full UK driving licence
Package
Salary: 40,000 - 55,000 (dependent on experience)
