Due to continued success and expansion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Service Administrator to join the team at our new office in Cardigan. The ideal candidate would be currently working as a Service Administrator or Workshop Controller with dealership experience and/or managed a large busy workshop. We will consider applications from Technicians who can demonstrate strong leadership and Technical skills who are ready to take their first steps into management.
As the Service Administrator you will work closely with the Service Manager in managing the Service Department to meet and exceed customer expectations, in addition to consistently meeting agreed business goals.
The role of the Service Administrator
- Allocate work fairly, according to ability and skill, taking deadlines into consideration.
- Maintain progress information of each job allocated and to ensure Customers are kept informed.
- Ensure job card write up and machinery checks are completed in a way that is legible and informative for the customers.
- Comply with Manufacturer's policies and procedures on warranty.
- Adhere to internal and manufacturer's standards in regards to clocking on and off of jobs.
- Ensure the recommended manufacturer's labour times and the agreed internal / manufacturer's labour rates are adhered to at all times, when charging retail, warranty or internal accounts.
- Ensure all team attend and complete any internal or manufacturer training, ensuring the development of the service team to support improvement in technical ability, job performance, whilst ensuring workshop resource is maintained.
- Take responsibility for meeting, achieving and carrying out service core process.
Skills Required:
- Workshop Supervision or Management experience
- Franchised manufacturer experience
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Excellent organisation and prioritising skills
- Computer literate
You'll have an outgoing and friendly personality, excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and target driven whilst being organised and have a great eye for detail, as well as being committed and reliable.
