Service Administrator, Tandridge Family Centre

Tandridge Family Centre is a supportive and committed team who are passionate about the work we do. Would you like to join us as a Service Administrator?

This post will be based at Tandridge Family Centre, Surrey.

Tandridge Family Centre is seeking a skilled and committed administrator. The role is for 14 hours a week to be worked on Mondays and Tuesdays as part of a job share which provides administrative support for the whole week.

Our service is commissioned by Surrey County Council to provide family support for families with children aged 0 to 11 years, living in Tandridge. Families are referred into our service from health services, schools, Surrey Children\'s Services, nurseries etc. Our team of family support workers visit families in their own homes and also run groups at our site. The location is Hurst Green Infant School, Wolfs Wood, Oxted, Surrey RH8 0HJ. Barnardo\'s supports flexible working and a combination of home and office working can be considered.

This is a varied role and responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a small imprest account
  • Raising purchase orders for goods and services and recording expenditure
  • Budget monitoring
  • Supporting the service with Health and Safety requirements
The following skills and experience are required:
  • Evidence of good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Evidence of effective team working
  • Ideally previous experience in an administrative role
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision, demonstrating initiative when required
  • Experience of operating financial systems including petty cash and budget monitoring
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft applications
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with members of the public
Full training will be provided along with on-going support through regular supervision.
