The Role:
Working on the Central Hire Desk, based in our Glasgow Head Office, the GAP Service Advisor will respond to, and resolve, customer queries relating to breakdowns, ensuring that excellent customer service is provided at all times, and that all repairs are carried out efficiently and within agreed budgets.
How you will fill your days:
Organise services and maintenance work on fleet within the depot.
Proactively manage servicing for customer vehicles
Handle all customer breakdowns including AA callouts and recoveries to dealerships.
Liaise with dealerships on all warranty claims in a timely manner
Liaise with rental department for organising replacement vehicles
Manage repair times and ensure customers are given back their original vehicles ASAP.
Help to manage VOR (vehicles off road) report and pro-actively manage suppliers to ensure downtime is minimal
Keep customers up to date on repairs and servicing.
Raise mechanical damage estimates in line with SLA's and Company procedures (if relevant/applicable).
o Control costs on vehicle spend o Order stock and parts for both the site and repairs.
Provide order numbers over the phone to suppliers for services, maintenance, tyres etc.
Applicants should have:
Significant experience working within a high-volume, fast-paced Service Advisor role, preferably within the Hire industry
Outstanding Customer Service
Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise your workload to meet competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Effective communication skills with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
Proficient in MS Office packages, specifically Excel and Word
