You will play a key part in keeping our bikes - and our riders - moving! From building world-class bikes for press launches and professional athletes, to diagnosing and repairing complex technical issues, you'll be at the heart of our mission to deliver the ultimate cycling experience.
Supporting the ASQA & Service Centre Manager, you'll ensure every build, repair and diagnostic meets our industry-leading standards. You'll also provide expert technical support to end consumers, our retail partners, and assist our Retail and Rider Support teams, helping to maintain the trust and performance of our valued riders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bike Building/ Wheel Building:
- Build and assemble bicycles subject to full pre-delivery inspection ready for press and media testing, our ambassadors, and professional/ team riders
- Build wheels to the same high-quality standard
Repairs:
- Perform full diagnostic and subsequent repairs on customer's bicycles and E-bikes ensuring the highest safety and performance standards are met
Diagnostics:
- Diagnose and resolve all warranty related issues
- Conduct diagnostics on E-shifting systems, E-Bikes and Power Meters to ensure optimal functionality
Deal with all Service Centre enquiries
:
- Handle all Service Centre enquiries including calls and emails, addressing repair or technical issues and making informed decisions
- Provide accurate repair quotes and advice to customers
- Process, update and manage jobs in the Service Centre database
- Finalise jobs and issue invoices, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve to achieve positive resolutions
Assist with, or carry out other duties when required
Support retailer and consumer-facing events as needed
THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The successful candidate will be already be a fully qualified bicycle mechanic with an NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification as well as someone who loves to be around bikes!
You'll be a highly organised and motivated bicycle mechanic with proven previous experience, and the ability to work in a time-critical, and on occasion, pressured environment.
You'll play a key role in delivering expert repairs, precision builds, and outstanding customer service to our retail base and end consumers, and you'll also need to be able to multi-task effortlessly and be a self-sufficient individual, with meticulous attention to detail which is crucial to the role.
Along with a friendly manner and a can-do attitude, you will be working in a small team, so you'll need to be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and able to handle conflicting priorities easily.
You'll maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop as well as show a willingness to learn additional skills outside of the role advertised. Excellent understanding of MS Excel and other IT systems is a must.
YOUR KNOWLEDGE, PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
o Ideally a minimum of 3+ years' experience in a service or workshop environment within the cycling or relatable industry
Qualified bicycle mechanic with NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2
Cytech 2&3 / equivalent qualification very desirable or willingness to undertake training
Up to date with latest cycling technologies
Experience with diagnosing, maintaining and repairing all bicycle and E-Bike componentry with experience in wheel building
Experience of having used Microsoft Outlook and Excel and other IT systems on a daily basis
Experience of having used Workshop Management systems
A passion for cycling or the bicycle industry would be advantageous
Excellent communication and organisation skills are a must
