A Service Charge Accounts position has become available in a busy independent property management company in Brighton
This is a varied role covering all aspects of service charge accounting, including:
Producing year end service charge accounts, completed on time and in compliance with industry regulations.
Resolving accounting queries efficiently.
Raising ad hoc service charge demands and recharges to tenants.
Preparing any required monthly client reporting for a portfolio, these could be computer generated reports or bespoke excel reports.
Preparing bank reconciliations.
Liaising with external accountants to resolve queries.
Preparing ground rent statements for freeholders/clients and requesting the transfer of funds due.
Preparing quarterly and monthly rent statements for landlords.
Assisting with the day-to-day running of the accounts department to include, invoice processing, supplier payments, reconciliations and payments received.
Assisting property manager with budget reviews.
We would be looking for the successful applicant to:
Adopt a proactive approach
Contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes or feedback from colleagues/external parties
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good knowledge of excel
Able to work in a team and assist colleagues where required
Previous experience in preparing service charge accounts and using Qube is preferable.

Pay: 20,000.00-30,000.00 per year
