Service Charge Advisor (Property Management Accounting)



Full time, permanent with hybrid working (Glasgow, 177 Bothwell Street, G2 7EA)

Role Purpose

:

Working in the Real Estate Accounting Services team where the individual will be responsible for a range of service charge work across a varied client property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities



Working closely with our third-party partners to ensure closure of annual service charge reconciliations across a variety of complex assets in line with RICS guidelines and agreed SLAs. Role will require a variation of:

Reviewing income demanded in the year and ensuring all occupiers are correctly billed Reviewing Tenant apportionment and undertaking CAP calculations Reviewing expenditure to ensure it has been coded correctly in line with budget Calculating, recommending, and posting accruals and prepayments Raising ad-hoc charges to tenants Preparing closure packs and letters Case Managing the Service Charge end to end process for assigned allocation Assisting our internal stakeholders with closing off annual property budgets in line with RICS guidelines and agreed SLA's: Assist in quality review of third party partners work Preparing reconciliation of clients' service charge funds. Working closely with other teams within REAS to provide exceptional outcomes to our client Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve the role responsibilities. Attending client and internal meetings Responsible for assisting other team members passing on knowledge and skills particularly to new members of staff Undertaking project work to support re-engineering or efficiency improvement

Person Specifications / Requirements



Technical understanding of service charges Sophisticated experience in book keeping Understanding of Real Estate transactions
