Role Purpose:
As a SMI Service Team Leader, youll be a member of our Adult and Older Adult management team, and a key part in supporting the Service Manager with the delivery of our BDC Mind SMI Service. This service works to support those living with a diagnosis of Schizophrenia, Bipolar, or Psychosis, and with your knowledge and passion youll work closely with the Service Manager in leading service delivery and development, ensuring that it is run efficiently and effectively, and truly making a difference to the mental and physical health of those living with an SMI. Youll support with the management of a team of SMI Health Engagement Officers, providing guidance, outreach visits, and support, to ensure consistent, high-quality care is delivered to the people we support.
Focusing on service performance, engagement, and development, youll help to build strong relationships with key partners, enhance service delivery, and oversee day-to-day operations. As an ambitious individual with a passion for supporting others, along with your understanding of health inequalities and the challenges those living with an SMI face, youll contribute greatly towards improving the health of those we support, ensuring our collaborative efforts as a service lead to real, long-lasting impact.
Key duties
Support the SMI Service Manager in delivering an effective, high-quality service, ensuring it meets regulatory standards, performance targets, and delivers real impact, in line with the quality assurance framework, operational plan and organisation mission
Support in ensuring robust operational controls are in place, including service risk assessments and safeguarding responsibilities, which are closely monitored and meet auditing requirements
Carry out the collation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, producing high-quality reports to further enhance service developments
Build and maintain meaningful relationships with others in relation to the service, strengthening collaboration and ensuring the service meets needs identified on a local level
Support in leading the development and delivery of an evolving service, ensuring this aligns with the Bradford District and Craven Mind goals and strategy
Support the on-call rota to ensure all staff have access to support and guidance out of hours
Support with the delivery of our SMI Strategy and aligning project action plan
Actively engage in supervision, team meetings, and company events to contribute to a well-connected, informed and supportive team environment
Support in leading a team to be high performing by fostering clear communication and taking a proactive, problem-solving approach, in alignment with our mission, objectives, policies, and values.
Contribute learning and knowledge to wider SMI developments across the Bradford District and Craven and beyond
