Your Purpose
Lead on the day to day operations of the [supported living/respite/day] service. You are responsible for ensuring individuals we support receive high quality care to live the lives they choose; and staff are supported and perform their roles safely, effectively, and happily.
Your Role
Recruit, induct, train, and manage staff to deliver excellent quality services and ensure they are up to date with best practice
Support, monitor and develop your team to perform effectively in their role through regular 1:1s, coaching and mentoring
Ensure the service is run within budget, manage contractual hours, and monitor and report on service expenditure
Manage the operations of the service so that it is run safely, efficiently, and to a high standard and in accordance with PossAbilities expected standards of delivery (our policies and procedures)
Ensure the service is compliant with the relevant regulatory, legislative and contractual requirements; and professional ethics are maintained
Creative a positive and happy workplace culture - ensure that staff feel valued and rewarded, and that the service delivers high quality care
Identify and manage service risks, and take appropriate action to mitigate and monitor these risks
Monitor and analyse data, information, and feedback about all aspects of service delivery. Use this to learn, and make changes or recommendations for more strategic action, so that the service continue to improve
Prepare management reports for your service and contribute to organisational development and planning
Build and manage partnerships with all people and services that are important to excellent care and support delivery
Act as an ambassador for your service and PossAbilities, positively representing us in external forums, and identifying opportunities for us to grow and develop
Manage and respond to feedback about the service ensuring the right action is taken, lessons are leant and improvements made
Manage emergencies making sure your team are supported and have the tools to respond effectively
Manage all safeguarding concerns and support teams to respond and take the right action
Complete formal investigations in line with PossAbilities policy
