Overview
West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) is the second largest fire and rescue service in England, serving an area of 902km square and a population of over 2.9 million people.
Our vision is 'Making the West Midlands safer, stronger and healthier'.
This vision and the strategic goals outlined in 'Our Strategy' are what drives the people, professionalism and pride with which we serve our communities.
We are looking for an outstanding individual to lead our Service Delivery Model (SDM) Review and Community Risk Management Planning (CRMP) function. This is a temporary opportunity of at least 12 months, open to those currently operating at Manager 2/Professional 1 or existing Station Commanders.
This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of fire and rescue provision at a strategic level. You will work alongside senior leaders, drive innovation in service design, and ensure the Service is prepared for the challenges of today and the risks of tomorrow.
This is a high-profile role at the heart of organisational transformation, directly influencing how we align our people, stations, and resources to meet the evolving needs of our communities and the future risks they face.
