This is a part-time (14 hours), temporary 6 month role, based at Central Library. As part of Manchester Libraries, Galleries and Culture Service, you will play a key role in delivering a vibrant cultural and educational offer to our diverse audiences. Central Library welcomes over 2 million visitors annually, and this role is vital in supporting our public engagement programme

Essential requirements for the role:

• Experience of working in a library.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
• Excellent digital and ICT skills, including familiarity with social media and library systems.
• A customer-first mindset, with a proven track record of delivering inclusive and engaging services.
• Flexibility and adaptability, including a willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
• A good understanding of Manchester Libraries' ethos, values, and commitment to community engagement.

The experience below would be beneficial but is not essential:

• Experience in planning and delivering events and activities for diverse audiences, including schools, community groups, and cultural partners within a library setting.
• Experience of working with children and young people in a library setting
