We are recruiting for a full time Service Development Graduate Intern on a 12-month Fixed Term contract.

About the Role




As a Service Development Graduate Intern, you will support the transformation of our career services by planning, developing, and delivering new services for and with the careers ecosystem. You will assist in reimagining career services that are easy to access, joined up, and empower customers to make career decisions through meaningful work experiences and expert guidance. In terms of your day to day, we can tell you that working as a Service Development Intern means your work will be varied, fast paced, challenging and very worthwhile.



Some of the work you can expect to get involved in includes the development and testing of new products and services including:


Hands-on career learning experiences designed with employers for customers of all ages and delivered alongside expert career guidance.

Services which are joined up with key partners across the Scottish careers system.

Services which make the best use of technology to help us and our customers.

About You




It is essential that you hold a degree (SCQF level 9) or above in either

business management, marketing or product design

with knowledge or experience in research related to new product development. You'll have a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team to deliver projects, and the confidence to bring fresh perspectives using customer and stakeholder insights to shape the development process, along with the ability to build effective working relationships across the organisation by collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Eligibility:





To be eligible for this role, you must be aged 24 or younger on 06 October 2025, in line with the Scottish Government's initiative on youth employment. However, SDS will be flexible on age criteria for applicants who identify as care experienced or disabled in which case candidates must be 29 or younger on 06 October 2025.

Where you'd be based



SDS embraces agile working, therefore, location is flexible. However, there will be a requirement for regular travel to Glasgow where the team is based for training, mentoring and team collaboration.
