We have an opportunity within Kent Libraries, Registration and Archives (LRA) service for a Service Development Manager, Marketing & Engagement.

Libraries, Registration and Archives is responsible for delivering all of Kent\'s physical, digital and outreach library services; Kent and Bexley\'s registration services of birth and death registration, marriage, civil partnership, and citizenship; The Kent Archive service responsible for storing, collecting and conserving Kent\'s significant collection of historical records and documents and ensuring that they are accessible to the public.

Role Responsibility

You will be a key member of Kent Libraries, Registration and Archives management team and you will lead a small team responsible for the development and delivery of service communication and marketing functions including:

- Development of LRA\'s digital and marketing strategy

- Support to develop LRA\'s annual business plan

- Development of customer insight and business intelligence through performance data gathering, monitoring and reporting, including customer feedback

- Management of LRA\'s social media channels

- Creation of content, filming and editing to support and develop LRA\'s digital services

You will take a lead to develop first class communications with a wide range of internal and external colleagues, customers and Kent residents, ensuring that information and news about LRA services is communicated in the most effective way. You will encourage and promote two-way communication between the service, its customers, non-users and staff to enable LRA to develop services that customers and residents want and need.

You will champion the benefits that LRA services deliver to Kent residents and be proactive to communicate more difficult news, sometimes under time pressure and prioritised appropriately.

You will take a lead to market LRA\'s Kentish Ceremony offer, managing the contract to evolve the brand and to ensure the Kentish Ceremony offer is marketed in the most effective way to maximise business and income for LRA. This will include managing staff to attend wedding shows.

You will support management team colleagues across LRA services to identify and implement new business and income generation opportunities to achieve service and team income targets.

About the Team

Reporting to the Strategic Manager for business development this role will be part of LRA\'s wider management team and will be responsible for managing a team of four direct reports.

Interviews will take place W/C 5th February 2024 and will be a presentation and interview questions. The topic of the presentation will be sent out to shortlisted applicants with the invitation to attend an interview.
