Location of the role:
The candidate must reside within the South East and hold a Full Driving Licence, with access to a car.
Remote working environment where both regional (South East) and national travel will be required, including overnight stays away from home.###
What you'll be doing
The Service Development Manager (SDM) will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups and other commissioners of Specialist Residential, and Supported Living. The candidate will have strong key account management skills and will work to maintain existing relationships and initiate new relationships to promote services to the market. In addition, the SDM will work with commissioners to understand market requirements to allow appropriate development of existing services and provide guidance on the need for new services. The SDM, working closely with Operations, is responsible for occupancy of the Priory Adult Care estate and for driving growth.

What you'll bring to the role
Graduate or equivalent with a proven track record of new business development, ideally within the social care sector.
Proven self-starter with excellent track record in delivering against sales targets.
Strong analytical skills, with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including report writing and presentation capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable but not essential - knowledge of social health care and services.
Experience gained within a relevant position requiring business acumen and highly developed associated skills.
Knowledge of commissioning systems and processes would be an advantage.
Understanding the importance of provider/commissioner relationships in the delivery of high quality care to the people who use Priory services.
Ability to relate at a senior level to all elements of the customer base as well as internal senior representatives.
Able to articulate clearly and succinctly in high pressure and challenging situations.
