MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ANDACTIVITIES

Design control panels and automation systems Develop PLC software Maintain and modify existing machine programs on equipment at customer premises Build and test run equipment and software ready for despatch from the factory. Panel wiring, machine rewires and electrical maintenance of workshop. Install, service and maintain equipment away from the factory. Diagnose and rectify faults on equipment. Provide written technical reports and other documentation as required Provide customer training on Middleton Engineering Products Assist with trouble shooting on telephone and via modem links to equipment on customers' premises

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work with Service Department to ensure service work is allocated evenly and effectively. Assist production personnel when working in the factory. Ensure all equipment is used safely and follow all working procedures. Working away from the factory without supervision, either individually or as a team and at short notice. A good knowledge of hydraulic systems would be beneficial, although not essential. General understanding of service procedures and control measures.

KEY SKILLS

Good keyboard skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Siemens software Having a good knowledge of electrical drawing software (preferably Eplan) would be an advantage. Ability to work and communicate with others. Work on own initiative in a pressurised environment. Ability to communicate with customers in a polite and responsive manner. Be fully conversant with PLC and electrical control systems. Respond flexibly to change. Hold a full clean driving licence. Good knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
