Service Engineer - Electrical / Fire & Security

Jackson Fire & Security is a leading independent provider of fire and security solutions. Established for over 30 years, we operate nationally with a strong local presence. Following sustained growth over the last two years, we're expanding our

Bromley branch

and are now looking to add a new Service Engineer to our local team.

Our engineers work predominantly across Bromley (BR), Dartford (DA) and South East London (SE), with occasional work in neighbouring areas to support our clients when required. Note that there is no requirement for national travel in this role, our engineers are never required to travel outside of the London and Kent area.

The Role

No two days are the same. As a Fire & Security Engineer, you'll work across a varied portfolio of systems and clients. One day you might be servicing a commercial fire alarm system, the next assisting with an installation or responding to a fault on a security system.

Whatever the task, you'll be a key representative of our business and play a vital role in delivering a high standard of workmanship and customer service.

You'll be joining an established, friendly and supportive local team. We're looking for someone with a positive, professional and proactive attitude who takes pride in their work and is keen to continue learning. We'll support you with on-the-job training and accredited courses to help you succeed and progress.

What You'll Do

Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of fire and security systems with a keen eye for detail and high standards, in line with current regulations. Carry out remedial works to a excellent standard, taking pride in your work. Assist with the installation of fire and security systems. Participate in the call-out rota for urgent issues (very low call-out rate) Deliver work professionally, maintaining excellent customer relationships

What We Offer

Salary:

26,000 - 36,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus bonus. We welcome applications from trainees through to experienced engineers.

Flexible Working:

Full-time equivalent is 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm). Flexible contracts of 25-40 hours are available to suit personal commitments, with salary adjusted pro rata.

: Up to 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Guaranteed day off on your birthday, if required.

What You'll Bring

At least 2 years' experience in a relevant field-based role (fire/security experience advantageous but not essential) Full UK driving licence (minimum 2 years held, no more than 6 points) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities A professional, customer-focused approach
