What You'll Be Doing



As a Service Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards for wastewater systems, including:

Performing routine and preventative maintenance on wastewater systems (mechanical and electrical). Diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently and effectively. Conducting refurbishments and upgrades of wastewater installations. Providing detailed and accurate reports on work completed, ensuring client satisfaction. Collaborating with our scheduling team to manage workloads and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities



Attend customer sites, ensuring health and safety procedures are strictly followed and tasks are completed to a high standard. Build positive relationships with customers, offering expert advice and guidance throughout each project. Demonstrate initiative by going above and beyond to exceed customer expectations. Remain on-site as necessary to ensure job completion, maintaining professionalism at all times. Uphold company standards for cleanliness and organisation of tools, vehicles, and stock. Regularly participate in team meetings and undertake ongoing professional development training. Provide on-call support as part of a rota system, offering emergency assistance when required.

What We're Looking For



Eligibility:

Eligible to work in the UK with a full UK driving licence.

Experience:

Experience within the wastewater industry, including maintenance of sewage treatment plants and pumping stations. Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision. Previous experience with confined space entry and relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., Abrasive Wheel, CSCS, First Aid).

Skills:

Strong communication skills--both verbal and written--and effective use of email and work instructions. Capability to work methodically, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Logical problem-solving abilities with a systematic, proactive approach. Basic IT proficiency for reporting and documentation purposes.

Attitude:

A proactive, reliable, and responsible attitude to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard. Strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining customer satisfaction. Adaptability to work flexibly, meeting deadlines and responding to varying challenges.

Working Environment



You'll primarily work independently, managing tasks through electronic instructions and reports. Initial training will be conducted at our Claydon office, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of company standards and procedures. Confidence in lone working and a responsible, professional approach are essential to maintaining Binder Ltd's high standards.
