Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and maintenance services for our products. Our products are usually pallet trucks and stackers (both manual and electric) and a knowledge of forklift trucks would also be an advantage. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service whilst delivering total customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will receive a company van, you will be expected to cover the areas of Leeds and Bradford, the surrounding West Yorkshire area and occasionally parts of Lancashire.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment. Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored support. Maintain accurate records of service activities and customer interactions. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve product reliability and performance. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance service delivery.

Experience

Proven experience in a similar role or relevant technical field is preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical/electronic systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to engineering practices is advantageous.
