Service Engineer/Forklift Mechanic
to become part of our Service team. Successful applicants must have a good working knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems whilst also being able to demonstrate prior experience of working with mechanical, plant or other similar equipment's.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will carry out repairs, servicing and inspection across a wide variety of material handling equipment mostly comprising of forklift trucks and other similar equipment.
Diagnose mechanical/electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of machinery.
Identify and replace or repair defective parts and components as necessary.
Maintain accurate electronic records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to troubleshoot complex issues.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working on equipment.
Keep work area clean and organised, ensuring all tools are maintained in good condition.
Can carry out Service Inspections and Thorough Examinations to GN28/UKMHA standard.
Qualifications (essential):
Industry Qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, etc.) or equivalent
Experience IT user
Current Driving License with no more than 6 points on licence
Qualifications (preferred):
Forklift Truck Operators License although not essential
Experience/Skills (essential):
It is envisaged that the successful candidate will also have a good engineering background in both mechanical and electrical/electronic systems; ideally you will be a multi-skilled engineer with good customer focus.

Reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and adaptable with a good level of problem-solving skills. A good communicator with the ability to work well within a growing team. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills and have good attention to detail. You must have the ability to work effectively and at times under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Have a good understanding of health, safety & environmental rules and regulations associated with working in a materials handling environment. Flexibility to work overtime when requested to meet specific deadlines.
