Overview

As a member of our Waiting Team, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service at weddings, private dinners, and bespoke events across our venues and partner sites. You'll lead by example, ensuring smooth front-of-house operations, supporting junior team members, and helping create the seamless service Pickled Pumpkin Catering is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a section lead during weddings and events, ensuring your area runs smoothly and efficiently. Deliver restaurant-quality service across plated meals, sharing boards, and interactive/tapas-style menus. Oversee the timing and coordination of courses, liaising closely with chefs and event managers. Anticipate guest needs and deliver service with confidence, warmth, and professionalism. Support with the set-up, styling, and clear-down of dining areas, bars, and service stations.

Client & Guest Interaction

Represent the Pickled Pumpkin brand with confidence Be approachable and attentive to guests' needs, resolving issues discreetly and efficiently. Work closely with event managers to ensure the client's vision and expectations are met.

Skills & Attributes

Previous experience in high-end event or restaurant service. Excellent communication and team leadership skills. Strong understanding of service etiquette, timing, and guest experience. Calm under pressure, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset. Full UK driving licence and access to transport beneficial (due to varied event locations).

Hours

Event-based hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional weekdays.
You'll be part of a multi-award-winning, creative catering team known for delivering unforgettable food and flawless service. From grand marquee weddings to intimate private dinners, every event is unique -- and you'll be at the heart of making it happen.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
