Job summary



Conexus Healthcare are looking for a Service Lead to join the clinical services team to support the delivery of GP Care Wakefield.

You will support the GP Care Wakefield team by utilising your fantastic organisation & communication skills to coordinate service delivery, our workforce and our GP Care Wakefield sites.

You will work a shift pattern to cover service opening times on evenings & weekends with other Service Leads. Your will work 30 hours per week and your shift pattern will be:

Monday: 09:00-18:00

Tuesday: Day Off

Wednesday: 12:00-21:30

Thursday: 12:00-21:30

Friday: Day Off

Saturday: 08:30-17:00 (once every 5 weeks on a planned rota)

Sunday: 08:30-13:00 (once every 5 weeks on a planned rota)

Main duties of the job



Your role will be to ensure the service is all set for safe and successful delivery. You will work with our sessional clinicians and admin staff to support them to have an effective and enjoyable shift.

As part of the Clinical Services team, you will deliver projects to improve systems and processes with support from colleagues with wide-ranging expertise.

This role will be perfect for someone who has great communication and organisation skills.

Youll really stand out if you have primary care management experience.

Our Resilience Academy and TARGET sessions benefit the Wakefield general practice workforce. Further afield, we are known nationally for our care navigation, social prescribing and medical administration training.

GP and PCN support:

We give PCNs the practical support they need to employ staff, coordinate projects and be resilient. We are proud to lead on Future Selph programme, a mental health service for 16-25 year olds.

Corporate Services:

Conexus delivers HR, communications, administration, governance, and financial support services to our PCNs and the wider Conexus family. We aim to provide this function to Wakefield general practices.

Job responsibilities



The purpose of this role is to work jointly with the other Service Leads and the Clinical Services Operations Managers to ensure the safe and smooth running of the organisation's clinical services by providing high quality and effective coordination, administration, and management support. As a highly motivated individual the Service Lead will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work under pressure and adapt quickly to ensure service continuity and responsiveness.

Qualifications



Essential



Degree level or management qualification / relevant experience. Supervisory or line management experience. Evidence of continuous development and of acquiring new skills/knowledge.

Experience



Essential



Competent in using clinical systems and digital health platforms (e.g., SystmOne, AccuRx). Experience of working positively and productively with a range of professional colleagues within a relevant setting. Experience of using a range of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel to produce high quality documents and reports. Experience of setting up and working with efficient systems and functions to support the delivery of high-quality services.
