Ferrier Pumps have an immediate vacancy for a Service/Workshop Manager to run our Service & Repair Team based in Aberdeen. The role will be based in our Aberdeen branch, but site visits will be required from time to time. The applicant will have a solid understanding of Mechanical & Electrical Systems and other disciplines and should be well-versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The person will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as planning, reporting, budgeting etc.

Ferrier Pumps have a wide client base which ranges from Agricultural, Oil & Gas, Marine, Biogas, Brewing & Distilling, Water & Power Leisure, and Food Processing.
Requirements
Proven experience as service/maintenance manager or similar managerial role
Excellent time management and flexibility
Experience in planning repair & maintenance operations
Working knowledge of rotating equipment and systems
Computer literacy and ability to use basic computer programmes and spreadsheets.
Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organisational and leadership abilities
Responsibilities
Organise workflow and ensure that service team understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
Manage relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and procedures.
Availability to receive calls regarding emergency repair works outside of normal working hours (rota basis)
