Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering complex programmes that improve homes and communities? We're looking for an experienced Service Manager - Asset Management, Sustainability and Performance within Homes & Neighbourhoods to lead the delivery of our ambitious investment programme and 30 year asset management plans.

As Service Manager - Asset Management, Sustainability and Performance, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of council housing in Kirklees. You'll lead the development and delivery of our 300m capital investment programme, ensuring our homes are safe, sustainable, and meet the needs of our residents--now and in the future.
What You'll Be Doing:

Lead the development and implementation of the Asset Management Strategy and 30 year Housing Capital and Revenue Investment Plan.
Oversee the strategic planning and delivery of capital investment programmes, ensuring compliance with safety and housing standards.
Manage complex projects and programmes, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high standards.
Use data and intelligence to inform strategic investment decisions and long-term investment planning.
Collaborate with tenants, elected members, and partners to shape the improvement plans for Council homes.
Champion decarbonisation and retrofit initiatives across council housing stock and development of a Council housing decarbonisation strategy.
Lead and support a team of technical and asset management professionals.
Strategic management and lead for external funding submissions to maximise external funding opportunities that can support and improve our Council homes and, bring forward new supply.
Ensure robust programme governance, risk management, and performance reporting.
What We're Looking For:

HNC or Degree in Construction, Housing, or Project Management (or equivalent).
Professional qualification in project/programme management (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, APM).
Proven experience leading complex housing or asset management programmes.
Strong contract, performance, and budget management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Knowledge of housing standards, building safety, and compliance frameworks.
A collaborative leader who can inspire teams and drive continuous improvement.
