Job Description

We are Britannia MOT & Repair Centre Ltd, an independent garage and MOT station in Aylesford Kent. We are seeking a full time Service Manager to oversee the day to day running of our garage. A proven track record in a similar role within the motor industry is essential for this position.

Job Overview:


You will be an experienced Service Manager and will join the team providing exceptional customer service and overseeing the efficient operation of our workshop. You will be working closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure deadlines are met and customer expectations are delivered.

About the role:



To oversee the day to day running of the front of house.
Manage and lead a team of technicians to ensure high-quality service delivery, meeting timescales & deadlines of the daily work load.

You will be across all bookings & work at all stages.

Make bookings & oversee estimates, deal with customer queries within prompt timescales.
Manage customer expectations & enquiries and feedback in a professional and timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction is a top priority.

Updating customers in person, phone and via social media.
Oversee cash & card handling procedures, including processing payments and managing invoices.
Monitor service schedules to optimise workflow and meet customer expectations.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation including digital service records and pre & post inspection photographs.

To ensure final checks are completed prior to customer handover.

To liaise with our charity partners

To lock & unlock the premises

Skills:


Must have proven experience in customer service within an automotive industry setting.
Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial transactions
Strong knowledge to effectively and confidently communicate with technicians and customers. Excellent communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and build positive relationships

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm
