45,321 to 50,994 per annum dependent on experience (35 hours per week)

Employment:

Shift pattern:

Monday to Friday with the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including weekends and evenings

On call:

upon completing your probationary period, you will be included on an out of hours on call rota covering all services across The Edmund Trust as Tier 2 support. This rota is shared across all managers and is typically an average of 1 in every 8 weeks.

Requirements:



Have management experience in a care/support setting, dealing with all areas of running multiple services Experienced at mentoring, coaching and supporting staff and leading a team positively Experienced at supporting people who have learning and physical disabilities, and autism Experienced at supporting people with challenging behaviour Be passionate and motivated about getting the support right for the people we support Able to establish and maintain relationships with the families of the people we support, knowing they play an important part in the person's life and have insightful and valuable contributions Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including CQC requirements Willing to be a Registered Manager if required Able to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings To be suitably qualified in the sector and be willing to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care whilst in post Great at communicating Proactive, dynamic and adaptable Person centred Driven and passionate Able to think outside the box Able to undertake administration tasks in a timely and organised manner Confident in following support agreements, plans and policies at all times Able to work as a team but also confident at lone working Are a car driver with your own car for business use Are an experienced and competent user of Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)

As a growing charity, we are looking for a

Service Manager

to join our operational management team to lead a team, become a CQC registered manager for our residential service, and manage two supporting living services in Milton.

Main responsibilities:



To provide effective management of the services included Supported Living Schemes, Community Support Services and Registered Care establishments To ensure the delivery of person-centred support through coaching and managing a team of staff Ensuring there are safe staffing levels across the services at all times with responsibility for all budgets related to the service Liaise closely with other professionals, as well as having regular contact with family and friends of the people we support. To support the growth and development of services in line with the business plan, act to fill any voids quickly, leading on staff recruitment and retention activities To act as Registered Manager as required; covering for other services when necessary. To act as a role model and mentor for staff To support the Head of Operations and be responsible for identified delegated tasks Act as Second Tier for on-call on a rota basis; proactively makes decisions and recommend actions as appropriate.
