We are looking for a
Service Manager
to join our team -- someone confident, experienced, and capable of delivering exceptional results with minimal supervision.
The RoleKey ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, routing, and job assignments.
Ensure all service requests, maintenance visits, repairs, and warranty work are completed accurately, on time, and to a very high standard.
Maintain proper inventory levels of parts, chemicals, and equipment.
Team Leadership
Manage, train, and support service technicians to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing skills development.
Foster a positive, customer-focused work environment.
Customer Service & Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for customer service issues, escalations, and technical inquiries.
Provide clear communication to customers regarding service recommendations, repairs, pricing, and timelines.
Technical Expertise
Ability to cover engineers in the field when required is beneficial.
Administrative & Financial Responsibilities
Prepare daily/weekly reports on service operations, productivity, and job profitability.
Support budgeting, cost control, and pricing strategies.
Ensure strict compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
RequirementsYou must have:
Minimum 10 years' industry experience
Desire for long-term employment within our company
ISPE qualifications
Excellent eye for quality workmanship
Strong ability to manage your own workload and lead the team efficiently
Practical understanding of pool hydraulics, filtration, heating, and water chemistry
Adaptability and ability to cope with seasonal pressure
Full UK driving licence
Strong ability to work independently and represent the company at a senior level
Ability to learn new software efficiently (training provided)
Experience using scheduling software/CRM systems
Ability to provide references on request
Highly beneficial:
Experience leading maintenance projects or overseeing refurbishments
Additional industry accreditations, specialist manufacturer training, or relevant training
