Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee the operations of specific supported living/residential services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in care, particularly in managing a range of Learning Disability and/or Autism services. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care for individuals we support. The Registered Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and the effective implementation of care plans, risk assessments and wider local authority guidance.

Duties



All of your actions will demonstrate respect for the rights of people whom you support, and for their decisions and choices. You will promote people's individuality through a person-centered approach to support, and, where necessary advocating on the service user's behalf. You will lead, working jointly alongside the Senior/Lead Support Worker, to ensure all staff are supporting individuals safely, and in line with all support plans and risk assessments in an appropriate manner. This also includes being able to address any service concerns, but also flag to senior manager (Managing Director and Operations Manager) as appropriate, and work collaboratively as part of the wider management team. You will be able to confidently supervise staff, and, where required, induct new staff as well as mentoring existing staff, with support through all aspects of training. Have a clear understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessment framework, key lines of enquiry (KLOE's), and be able to support staff in continuing to be mindful and aware of CQC regulations and best practice. To be able to confidently and competently lead in all areas of service management, supporting the day-to-day running of the service. This may also cover/assisting at other homes as required, dependent on service need. To ensure continued compliance with CQC regulations, and ensure all services continue to achieve a minimum of 'Good' in CQC inspections. You will support people to achieve their personal goals in relation to managing their daily life. This could include support to manage money, use transport, keep their home clean, prepare meals, use community leisure facilities, visit family and friends, volunteering, working and attending college where applicable. Some of your time may involve assisting with activities, personal care, to maintain relationships, assistance or prompting in a variety of activities of daily living in accordance with the individual's support plan, respecting their dignity and unique preferences. Where people do not have the capacity to make some decisions in their life, you will offer support, guidance and advice that is in their best interest. This will also include conducting relevant mental capacity assessments, where appropriate, and documenting this to evidence. You will encourage and support people to overcome disabling barriers, take risks and to try new things in a safe and supportive manner, to support the people in leading a positive and meaningful life.

Start off salary of 36,000, however this can further be discussed at interview and subject to further negotiation dependent on experience.
