Currently, we are actively seeking an experienced Service Manager for Mental health services

Role title: Service Manager - Mental Health


Reporting to: CEO


Responsible for: The management of specified care and support teams.



Role purpose


Responsible for the management of specified care and support teams to deliver an effective, high-quality, value-for-money user-led service that meets the requirements of the contract and relevant legislation, deputising for the Operation Manager when required

Key Outcomes Required from the Post :



1. By providing leadership and by providing a positive role model to teams of staff, ensure Chosen Care Group Values are embedded within service delivery, increasing choice and control for service users.
2. By taking responsibility for ensuring service delivery meets the requirements of the contract and where applicable The Care Quality Commission (CQC), Supporting People (SP) regulations, relevant legislation and CCG policies and procedures, ensure compliance
3. By identifying barriers and providing solutions, ensure services achieve and maintain good standards of quality
4. By ensuring Safeguarding is given the utmost priority and policies and procedures are understood and rigorously followed by all staff, ensure service user safety.
5. By ensuring services adopt a Person Centred Outcome Focused way of planning, deliver measurable and positive outcomes for service users
6. By developing good relationships with key stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for CCG at all times, ensuring service delivery is in accordance with the specified contract
7. By effective support planning, management, incident reporting and record keeping ensure the safety of service users
8. By ensuring budgets within the sphere of responsibility are managed effectively, ensure the financial viability of services
9. By supporting teams, enable service users to move on to less intense support and secure referrals for voids
10. By assuming responsibility for the administration of welfare benefits and other such benefits ensure service users income is maximised
11. By ensuring the right numbers of appropriately qualified, motivated and performing staff are utilised, ensure compliance to customers/organisation/contract standards.

Role specification



Must have demonstrable experience of working within a health or social care environment and have or be working towards a qualification recognised by CQC. Must have supervisory management experience

Must be able to satisfy CCG and Care Quality Commission of fitnessundertake a registered manager role

.

Working within the provision of services requiring political or personal sensitivity Health and Social Care Act 2008. Quality Assessment Framework Developments in Adult Social Care relating to specific service user groupse.g. Valuing People Now - LD, New Horizons- MH, Living Well with Dementiaand end-of-life initiatives- OP Putting People First Health and safety Person Centred Planning, Outcome Focussed Support Planning Disciplinary, Grievance and Performance Management Relevant care qualification as per skills for care guidance (eg RMA, NVQ4)

Other role-specific requirements :



Able to work flexibly with some unsocial hours. Participate in on-call work flexibly with some unsocial hours. Undertake other such duties as may be reasonably required by the seniormanagement

Develops positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring services meet the needs of the customer/service user. Innovates to problem solve, provides solutions and effectively prioritises, responding positively and ensuring services are compliant, maintained and developed.

Managing individuals:

Builds constructive and supportive relationships with staff, providing opportunities for staff to learn and develop and, in liaison with the manager, deal promptly and fairly with capability and conduct issues.

Managing Resources:

Maintains a safe and healthy working environment. Well organised, managing own time and workload, often under pressure. Ensures appropriate care of equipment, the environment and stock.

Managing the organisation:

Contributes to strategic thinking and organisational direction, organisational development and change. Focussed on continuous improvement

Managing the environment:

Contributes to strategic planning and continuous improvement around environmental issues

Managing information:

Uses well-developed IT skills contributing to management information through data collection and analysis. Manages financial information and budgets. Maintains accurate written and electronic records. Writes management and care reports using sound analytical skills.

Has or can achieve recognised qualification for the role as determined by Care Quality Commission or Skills for Care

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-45,000.00 per year
