About the Role
As
Street Cleansing Service Manager
, you'll provide both strategic leadership and operational oversight across all street cleansing functions. You'll ensure Nottingham's streets, public spaces, and communal areas are maintained to exemplary standards of cleanliness, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Working closely with colleagues across
Waste, Greenspace, and Highways
, you'll drive integrated service delivery and continuous improvement. You'll also engage proactively with community groups, elected members, and partner organisations -- managing relationships in a politically sensitive environment to deliver outcomes that reflect our residents' priorities.
About You
You'll be a confident, inspiring leader who thrives on making services better for the people who use them.
We're looking for someone who has:
Proven experience managing services in a
politically sensitive environment
, with strong stakeholder management skills
A track record of
strategic and operational leadership
in street cleansing or similar environmental services
The ability to
embed a culture of continuous improvement
, informed by customer feedback and community engagement
Strong
performance management and reporting
skills, including setting and monitoring KPIs
Knowledge of
statutory waste obligations
(including Extended Producer Responsibility) and experience contributing to policy and strategy development
