Job Description

Diamond Trucks UK Ltd is a state of the art Sales, Parts and Service Dealership for Renault Trucks UK, located in Warrington. We currently have a vacancy for a Service Manager within our Aftersales Department. This position will ideally suit an experienced Service Manager within the Commercial Vehicle Repair Sector.

Position Overview



Reporting to senior management, the

Service Manager

is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and servicing of commercial vehicles, ensuring high-quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining industry standards.

Key Responsibilities



Manage Service Operations:

Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring timely and efficient vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Self-Discipline:

Must be able to work on your own initiative in a pressurised environment and to tight deadlines.

Customer Relations:

Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring excellent customer service.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and support the Service Department Administration and Workshop staff, by providing training and guidance to enhance performance.

Quality Control:

Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet industry standards and safety regulations.

Budget & Cost Management:

Monitor expenses, optimise resources, and improve profitability.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Performance Monitoring:

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills



Proven experience in commercial vehicle servicing or fleet management. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair techniques, and industry regulations. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage budgets and optimize operational efficiency

Salary and Benefits



Basic salary of 45,000 plus a generous bonus scheme dependant on candidate and experience. Company pension scheme On-site parking 22 days holiday plus 8 statutory days and then additional days for long service
