Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Calibration and Repair Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the calibration, and repair of a wide range of mechanical equipment. This role is important to ensure the precision and reliability of our customers' instruments and machinery, supporting our commitment to quality and operational excellence. Calibration: Perform precise calibration of mechanical instruments and equipment according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and components. Conduct routine maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of calibration, maintenance, and repair activities. Prepare reports and calibration certificates as required.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all equipment meets required accuracy standards and comply with relevant regulations. Implement and follow quality control procedures.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration and repair processes. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
Qualifications
Education: Higher education degree or specialised training/certification in a relevant technical field
Experience: Experience in mechanical calibration, maintenance, and repair. Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using calibration tools and software. Understanding of mechanical systems, components, and measurement principles.
Problem-Solving: Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to shared goals.
Physical Requirements: Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or similar qualifications.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in sectors such as aerospace, automotive, pharmaceuticals, or other precision-driven industries.
